The Blackhawks started sectionals strong, defeating Hagerstown 41-0. To open the game, Hagerstown started with the ball, but 30 seconds in, Dayne Voege made an interception to get Sheridan’s offense started. This drive resulted in Zach Bales scoring on a two-yard run. In the Second Quarter, Zach Bales scored again on a one-yard run. Then, two minutes later, Owen Bell ran two yards to earn the third score of the night. To end the First Half, Nolan Page received a 16-yard pass from Owen Bell. 23 seconds into the Second Half, Eli Kolb ran 56 yards to add 6 points to the board! The final score of the game was when Nolan Page intercepted the ball from Hagerstown, running 42 yards to score. The Hawks rushed for 245 yards, led by Zach Bales with 106 yards, followed closely by Eli Kolb with 97. Owen Bell threw for 87 yards, Trent DeCraene received 60 yards, and Nolan Page received 27 yards.
The Tindley Tigers hope to improve their season to 5-5 this week. The Tigers lead receiver currently averages 69.1 yards per game. Their lead rusher averages 47.4 yards per game.
