Here is what you’ll need to know for the Week 9 matchup between the Carroll Cougars and the Sheridan Blackhawks!!

The Blackhawks are coming off a heartbreaker last week, falling to Eastern 14-19. At the end of the 1st Quarter, Eastern led 7-0, and with 2:44 left in the 2nd Quarter, scored again but missed the extra point attempt, putting the score at 13-0. Just seconds before halftime, Nolan Page ran 54 yards to score, putting the halftime score at 13-7. In the 3rd Quarter, the Blackhawks finally got the lead when Page ran for another 54-yard touchdown. Finally, with only 2:13 left in the game, Eastern connected on a 20-yard TD pass to retake the lead for the final time. Nolan Page led the Hawks in rushing yards with 106. Zach Bales had 92, and Eli Kolb had 89. This loss ended the Blackhawks' perfect conference record.

The Carroll Cougars hope to remain undefeated this season. The Cougars are definitely a dominant team, not allowing any team to score more than 7 points on them this season. They have scored a total of 418 points compared to the Blackhawks 287. If Carroll wins this game, they will secure the conference trophy. However, if the Blackhawks come away with the win, it will be a 3-way tie between Carroll, Eastern, and Sheridan!!
