The Blackhawks are coming off a big conference win over Delphi, 37-14. The game started slow for the Hawks and the Oracles, with no score in the 1st Quarter. In the 2nd Quarter, the Blackhawks began to control the game, as Zach Bales ran for two rushing TDs of 8 and 9 yards, respectively. However, Delphi was still able to add 7 points. In the 3rd Quarter, the Hawks scored 9 points, a touchdown from Eli Kolb, and the defense forced a safety. Late in the 4th Quarter, Owen Bell scored on a 1-yard run. To end the game, Nolan Page intercepted the Oracles and ran 27 yards to put the final score at 37-14. Congratulations to Zach Bales on earning Legacy Images Player of the Game!
The Eastern Comets look to improve their season to 6-2. Compared to the Blackhawks' mostly ground-and-pound offense, the Comets play more of a passing game. However, they still have an excellent ground game as well. The Comets' lead receiver, Braylen Word, averages 82 yards a game. Their lead rusher, Jayden Eagle, averages 151 yards a game. Eli Edwards, their quarterback, has thrown for 17 touchdowns. To compare that to the Blackhawks, Trent Decraene is the lead receiver, averaging 29 yards per game. The Hawks' lead rusher is Eli Kolb, who averages 105 yards per game. As a team, the Blackhawks have thrown for 8 TDs this season.
This matchup will likely come down to the final minutes of the game. Also don't forget, the last time these two met in Greentown, the game went into OT! Come cheer your Blackhawks to a road win! Kickoff at 7 pm!!
